This project aims to derive and commercially distribute two fully characterized induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines, compliant with international standards. One line will be healthy, and the second will carry Alzheimer's disease-causing mutations for disease modeling. These iPSC lines will be developed using fibroblasts sourced from the Coriell Institute and reprogrammed with a non-integrative reprogramming kit. The project focuses on ensuring these iPSCs meet rigorous quality standards for pluripotency, differentiation potential, and vector-free status. The healthy iPSCs will be available for commercial distribution, while the disease-specific iPSCs will support future commercial services in neurodegenerative research. The lines will be biobanked, ensuring broad availability for pharmaceutical companies and researchers working on drug discovery and therapeutic development, providing a valuable tool for advancing preclinical research.
