On Monday, 12 September 2022, an event called "Garden Party on Kotlářská Campus" took place, which officially opened the new academic year at the Faculty of Science of MU (SCI MUNI). More than 350 visitors from among students, staff and other guests arrived in the park in front of the Dean's Office of SCI MUNI on the Kotlářská campus and used this sunny September day to meet together.

In 2025, the Institute of Chemistry at SCI MUNI commemorates 20 years since the establishment of the unique study programme Chemistry and Materials Technology for Conservation-Restoration. To mark this occasion, an interesting poster exhibition has been set up at the University Campus Bohunice.
An amendment to the Higher Education Act improves conditions for doctoral studies. The main changes concern the income and status of doctoral students. Luděk Bláha, Vice Dean for Doctoral Studies at SCI MUNI, describes how our Faculty is preparing for the changes.
