Participate in a Focus Group and Earn 500 CZK! Help Shape a New CORE Course on Intercultural (Mis)communication

Are you an undergraduate student at Masaryk University? Do you want to share your experiences and ideas on intercultural communication? We are looking for 10 students (one from each faculty, including Czech and international students) to participate in a focus group to help develop a new course on intercultural communication. Your insights will directly contribute to improving the university experience and preparing students for the workplace.

APC tokens and discounts at publishers

Authors of Masaryk University have the opportunity to use tokens and discounts for publishing in Open Access mode with selected publishers. Discounts were negotiated through the National Centre for Electronic Information Resources (CzechELib). In order to receive a token, the following conditions must be met. For publishers where the status is "unlimited", the instructions in the instructions for authors should be followed.

The Festival of Science and Technology became green once again thanks to our natural scientists

On September 6–8, 2024, enthusiastic and smiling green T-shirted natural scientists once again lit up Pavilion A of the Brno Exhibition Centre and its surroundings with their green tents. Almost a hundred students and employees spread scientific knowledge, explained rules and demonstrated practical skills from their specialisations at fourteen sites. As always, those interested in mathematics could enjoy the playfulness and wit of the Science Theatre.

Changes to the enrolment of Common University Courses

From autumn 2024, MUNI will have enough so-called CORE courses. Therefore, a Common University Courses will be implemented across the entire university under conditions outlined by Pavel Lízal, Vice-Dean for undergraduate education.
